Korea Arcade Game Association to Launch K-Arcade Pavilion at PlayX4 2026

K-Arcade Game Pavilion to Showcase South Korean Arcade Industry at PlayX4 2026

The Korea Arcade Game Industry Association is set to make a significant presence at the upcoming 'PlayX4 2026' event, which will take place at the KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Ilsan from May 21 to 24. As part of this participation, the association will operate a large "K-Arcade Game Pavilion" featuring 150 booths. This pavilion will serve as a platform for showcasing the latest innovations and offerings within the South Korean arcade gaming industry.

The joint pavilion will bring together 11 major domestic arcade companies, including Andamiro and Uniana. The initiative aims to position arcade gaming as a wholesome family-oriented leisure culture (FEC). One of the key highlights of the pavilion will be the dedicated "redemption game zone," where visitors can earn points through gameplay and exchange them for prizes. This interactive feature is designed to highlight the evolving appeal and value of arcade games in modern entertainment.

Side Events to Highlight Industry Vision and Collaboration

On the first day of the event, May 21, a series of side events will take place in the KINTEX 2nd-floor conference rooms. These events are intended to share the industry's vision and foster collaboration among stakeholders. The day will begin with a press conference at 11:00 AM, followed by an industry development strategy seminar at 4:00 PM. Later that evening, a business networking day will be held at 6:00 PM.

Association Chairman Yoon Dae-joo emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, "Operating this joint pavilion is a vital investment in improving perceptions of arcade games and fostering a healthy ecosystem. We aim to use the successful establishment of the redemption model as a stepping stone to revitalize arcade gaming as a key pillar of South Korea's gaming culture."

Ensuring a Safe and Enjoyable Experience

To ensure a positive experience for all attendees, the Korea Arcade Game Industry Association has committed to strictly adhering to safety regulations throughout the event. Dedicated operational staff will be deployed across the pavilion to assist visitors and maintain a safe environment. This attention to detail reflects the association’s dedication to providing a welcoming and enjoyable space for families and gaming enthusiasts alike.

By participating in PlayX4 2026, the association hopes to not only showcase the breadth of South Korea's arcade gaming industry but also to reinforce its role as a vital component of the country's broader gaming culture. Through innovative features like the redemption game zone and collaborative events, the association is working to redefine how arcade games are perceived and experienced in the modern era.
