West Java Police chase YouTuber Resbob to 3 provinces
jabar.UD News , BANDUNG CITY - The Cyber Directorate (Ditsibber) of West Java Police continues to pursue the suspect of racism and spread of hate speech, Rebob alias Adimas Firdaus.
Recently, the police conducted a hunt across three provinces. Starting from DKI Jakarta, East Java, until Central Java.
The Head of Public Relations of West Java Police, Kombes Pol Hendra Rochmawan, stated that the investigators in Jakarta met with Resbob's parents.
Meanwhile, in East Java, the team met with a person believed to be a close friend of the man.
From there, information was obtained that the person had moved to the Central Java region.
"We will just inform you that the first location we obtained is the address in Jakarta. We have also visited his house and met his parents. We also conducted a search in East Java, there are two locations there, namely Surabaya in East Java, and also Pasuruan. Here, we have met his boyfriend, according to information from the investigators conducting the investigation, and the person concerned has moved again towards the west, that is Central Java," said Hendra in his statement on Monday (15/12/2025).
"At this moment, we have tried our best to find this suspect anywhere. Of course, we ask for support, moral support and prayers from the Sundanese people as well as the whole of Indonesia, because of course, this has caused a strong reaction, not only among the Sundanese but the entire Indonesia, where (if) this ethnicity is insulted, certainly no one would accept it," he continued.
Hendra stated that this step is a follow-up to several reports from the community, which the party did not accept the hate speech conveyed by Resbob.
The first report was made by a representative of the Persib supporters, with the number LP/B/ 674 /XII/2025/SPKT/POLDA JAWA BARAT, dated December 11, 2025. Meanwhile, the second report came from one of the Sundanese community organizations with the complaint number 2021/XII/ RES.2.5./2025/ Ditressiber.
On the other hand, Hendra denied the information on social media stating that residents gathered at Resbon's residence in Bandung. Because so far, his side has not yet obtained information about the location of the person concerned.
"So far, we have not obtained the address of Resbob in West Java. That means the information is temporarily incorrect," he said.
She also asked the community to entrust the handling of the racism case Resbob to the police who work according to the applicable legal procedures.
"My appeal is to the community who find, see, etc., can report to us, do not take hasty actions that could cause losses," he said.
"Trust us, we ask for everyone's support to quickly catch the perpetrators of hate speech and hostility towards the Sundanese community," he emphasized.
Previously, YouTuber Resbob, also known as Adimas Firdaus, made the people of West Java angry because of his words that insulted the Sundanese people and Persib Bandung supporters, the Vikings.
Resbob's hate speech provoked the anger of the community and Persib's supporter groups, leading them to report it to the West Java Police. (mcr27/jpnn)
